I made this gift card envelope out of crumb cake cardstock.
It is decorated with the Specialty Christmas Designer Series Paper

and sponged it with crumb cake ink.  The awesome Star Framelits
are used on just about everything this Christmas season!

Mini Muslin Bags

This was our final project.  I was very excited to show them this
technique of embossing on the mini muslin bags.
The mini muslin bags are great to use for gift giving this Holiday Season.
This is how we did it:
  1. Stamp the star from the Bright and Beautiful Stamp Set with Gold Encore Ink onto parchment paper.  Sprinkle it with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set.
  2. Iron both sides of the muslin bag, then put the parchment paper with the embossed side face down onto the bag.  Cover with a single layer of cloth and press with hot iron.  It took ours about 15-25 seconds to get the embossed image onto the bag.
Add a strip of gold sequins with a mini metallic clothespin.  Stamp a greeting onto Naturals Ivory cs with the Gold Encore Ink and sprinkle with the Gold Embossing Powder.  I stamped a To: From: on the back of my tag.  I used the Chalk Talk Framelits to cut it out.  Tie a piece of gold Bakers Twine onto top of tag, and attach tag to the drawstring on the bag.
I learned this technique from the very talented Jen Timko.  Some of the girls put homemade soaps into their bags for gift giving.  Below are the supplies used for this project.

Mini Muslin Bag #132180  8 bags for $9.95
Mini Metallic Clothespins  #133320  24 in a bag for $3.95
Gold Sequin Trim  #132983  $4.95
Gold Embossing Powder  #133756  $3.95
Bright and Beautiful Stamp Set from the Holiday Catalog
Gold Bakers Twine from the Holiday Catalog
Wilton Brand Parchment Paper

More from the Gift Packaging Class

We decorated the Petite Cafe Bags with the Under the Tree  Specialty Designer Series Paper.
The bags come in a set of 10 for only $5.95. #135826
The Specialty Paper is on Page 5 #135825
I totally cased this bag (with the exception of the greeting) from Jennifer Cotton.
We stamped two trees from Festival of Trees) page 24,  #135059 on crumb cs in
Garden Green, stamped the balls w/Soft Suede and sprinkled gold glitter on them.

Directions for Snowman and K-Cup Box

As promised here are the directions for the K-Cup and Snowman Box
that I posted yesterday.  Read instructions all the way through before beginning.

Cardstock  10 x 8
DSP  3 3/4 x 1 3/4  (4 pieces)

  1. Score cardstock on Landscape side at 2,4,6 and 8.
  2. Score on Portrait side at 2 inches on each side.
  3. Cut off and discard the four corners.  (Remaining will be handles)
  4. Cut up to the score lines on the long side to make center tabs.  Cut a sliver off both sides of the middle tabs.  This makes the box go together easier.
  5. Fold and burnish all score lines.
  6. Add sticky strip on the OUTSIDE of the two middle tabs (one on each side)
  7. Add sticky strip on the INSIDE on one tab across from each other.
  8. Corner round punch the top handles.  Corner round one edge of two pieces of designer series paper.  Adhere DSP to the outside of the handles and box.  Now punch out the hole for the ribbon on each handle.  (Punch one, use pencil to trace on other handle)
  9. Remove sticky strip - fold CENTER tab in first, then sides to make the box.

Lump of Coal in Your Stocking?

How cute would this be in someone's stocking?
It's actually Rice Krispy Treats!  I used edible black food
coloring found in my local craft store in the baking aisle.
Instead of putting the recipe in a pan to firm up, I dumped
the whole thing on wax paper and just pinched little
pieces of "coal".  Good for a "smile" and delicious too!
Now go have some fun in the kitchen!
The tag was printed and resized from a free download on

Elf Mini Shopping Bag

I saw a larger version of this bag on
Lorri Heling's website.  I used the Top Note Die
and cut the DSP legs 3 1/4" x 1/2".  I used 22 inches
of the beautiful Cherry Cobbler ribbon to tie the bow.
The elf shoes are free handed.
I purchased the little shopping bags at a local craft store.
It's only 4 1/2" wide....so cute for a little Christmas gift!

Turn clockwise and score on short side at 1".   Use the Big Shot to cut the banner.  Fill bag

#Birthdays Rock Card!

We made this cute birthday card at card club this week.
I used the following supplies:

Pretty FALL Wreath

I got the idea of making this little wreath out of burlap from Jen Timko.
Use two different size circles to punch out a base.  I cut off the edges
of the burlap ribbon and began to wrap it around the base.  I secured
the ribbon with glue dots and adhered it to the banner with
sticky strip.  Punched out some leaves from the bird punch.
The embossed background is non Stampin' Up.
See below for a list of supplies.
